Hi Stephen, thanks for posting.

I like the further development of the image, the idea of the person blending in to the wall is clearer now, or maybe its more that the body art extends beyond the person, yeah, thats what I feel here. The person is much more interesting to me than the previous.

What I don't get at all is how this will work on the page, where will the text go? I have no idea right now, and the image doesn't seem to allow for anything more. If you plan the text to flow over the image you need to make that clear, and the imagery needs to be very dark, so light text will read over it, or very light for dark text.

Please post a sketch when you can with that aspect of the assignment very clearly planned.

Its not much of a spot illustration

Stephen, I'm liking the eerie otherworldly presence you've captured here. The Om symbols and the other lines shooting outward off him is dramatic, but of course consider how they could be used to create interesting edges for this spot illustration. Will color be introduced?

Hey Stephen! I am having a hard time telling what is going on here. I think the drawing looks great, but I'm not sure where it ends and they shape the spot illustration will be in. I think if you clarify that it will make it a lot tighter. Good luck~

Was thinking....a dangerous thing. What if the text does run over the image, and is distorted by the contours as a tattoo would, some text describing the 3d form?

Hmmmmm?

you could play with the text/designs extending out and being the pieces that hold their own on the page. you can use these designs to push he figure to be more of a spot illustration.

stephen,
what if you turned his head a little and made him smaller on the page, so the text can fit. Then you could have this magnificent eerie tattoos extending outward across the page for the text to fit around? just an idea. I love the piece, but like everyone's saying, its not much of a spot yet. Good luck! I know it'll look great when you get it there.
